Steve Schwegler - Elder

Steve Schwegler is the son of a Baptist Minister. Originally from Missouri and then moved to Illinois at the age of 3. At 9 years old Steve accepted Jesus and was baptized at his father’s church. He and his wife Cathy have three children and three grandchildren.

In 1989, Steve was given the opportunity to move to Middle Tennessee to work as a representative for an industrial products company. He and his wife chose the Nashville area - specifically Mount Juliet. Steve and his family attended a couple of local Christian Churches where he served as a deacon and a member of the praise team.

In April of 2004 Steve learned that Stadia would be planting a Church in Mount Juliet. Even though he knew the challenges involved in Church planting he was compelled to take an active role in New Heart Christian Church.

Steve continues to work as a manufacturer’s representative in the southeast region and is a member of the NHCC Praiseteam as keyboardist.

Darrell McGuire - Elder

Darrell B. McGuire is originally from Louisville, KY. He has been a member of the Christian Church all his life and baptized when he was 14 at Highland Park Christian Church. In fact both of his sisters married men who are Christian Church Ministers.

Darrell and his wife Ruthie have two daughters, two sons, and eleven grandchildren. He moved his young family to Nashville in 1976. At the time he split his days working for L&N Railroad and General Contracting. He soon left L&N to pursue contracting full-time and is still a general contractor today.

Since his time in Nashville, Darrell has served several Christian Churches and Church of Christ as a deacon, elder, worship leader, sound tech., and building committee member.

In 2004 Darrell was contacted about a new Stadia Church Plant in the Mt. Juliet Area. He and his wife along with several others become part of the launch team for this exciting new ministry.

Darrell is also a member of the NHCC Praise Team.
